Cheryl Cole is seen to be one of the attractive pop singers. People of all ages can look up to her, she is also seen as a role model to a range of different people. When watching her videos you can see that she is portraide in a certian way like many pop artists are. Cheryl Cole is made to look attractive and sexy, this is done by using make-up and the  type of clothing she is wearing within the video's. For example to make her look sexy they will make her wear clothes that show off her figure and also make her flesh on show, this will draw people into watching the video. Also the angles in which the camera is being used can and to the sexyness of the video as I will later point out.

When watching the video within the first few moments you know what type of singer will be singing, you are first presented a extreme close up of the singers high hills. This suggests that she is a woman and attractive, it gives the video a sex appeal. 0:04
 
0:07 - you see the outline of the singer, she is walking twisting her hips this is trying to make her look more sexy and attractive to people.

She is wearing clothes that show off her figure this is an attempt to make her more sexy this is normal within female pop artist

0:27 - is a close up on her bum

 1:17 - she is dancing within a group there is also lip syncing going on when she is doing this, this is typical of the genre.

Also they way that she is dancing is very sexual. Also when you are watching the video you can see there is at least three different types of locations they are using.

2:44 - During this scene you can see there is a car, this is a fast car. Within this genre of music fast cars and good looking women will also sell the most.


When the music stops so does the video.

After watching this music video it has become more obvious in how the record labels use certain techniques to portray artists in certain ways. Cheryl Cole would attract females of all ages and even some male audiences.

Cody Simpson: Pretty Brow Eyes 

Within this pop video I expect it to be cheesy, the use of bright colours are used, also their might be dancers that are used, this is very typical of this type of genre. As this is a male artist you naturally think that the video will be amid at a female audience also as it is pop the age group of this would be of a teenager age.

When watching this video you can tell it is amid at young teenagers, this is because by the way it has been filmed and edited. For example at the start of the music video there are installations over the top of the video 0:02 gives it a childish feel about it, also the person who is singing 'Cody Simpson' has a higher pitch voice (softer) this would be more towards teenagers of a younger age, also you can tell what gender the song is amid at, its amid a girls (women) as he is singing about them.

0:18 - a close up is used of the girls face.

0:19 - a high angle shot is used, this shows his importance as he is in the middle and he has people around him.

0:28 - cut away's are used this doesn't show him singing, it shows us him interacting with people.

1:07 - He is dancing and singing at the same time this is typical of this genre.

A range of different location where used, when watching this video as well you could tell that it was trying to tell you a story that was unrolling between the two main character ( the singer and the girl )

As you can see, the video is amid at people of a younger age, also you saw that their was dancing within the video, this was very typical of the genre. When watching it you can also see that there is graphics that are added onto the music video, this gives it a 'childish' feel about the video there fore reinforcing the idea that it is amid at younger people; teenagers

Kelly Clarkson: Because Of You 

When watching this you can see that there is a story being told. There a moments within the video where the singer is alone and she lip syncs, the angles that are used within in this tell us what type of state she is in. There is a lot of high angles shots being used so this would suggest to us that she is vulnerable

1:08 - close up of the singer lip syncing.

The cuts of the different scenes are on the beat of the music this allows it to have more of a flow.

There are more three different locations that are used within the video this is typical within a music video.

2:20 - they lyrics relate to what is going on screen

Close-ups are used on the face of the artist to show us her feeling, this is also to get through to us this song is a sad song.
