Advert Planning

Design 1: Looking at this poster you can see that we have tried to make it look vintage, by placing the artist like this, clothing she is wearing and the font we have used we are trying to make her look like a pin up girl, this reflects the time period we are trying to recreate to some  extent. Underneath the artists name 'AVA' we have the album name 'JUJEBOX'. When looking at what the artist is wearing you can see that we have tried to make her look more sexy and attractive but in a classy way. 

Design 2: this design has the singer in the middle of the poster. As you can see the image has been reflected so there is two of her. She is wearing a dress that relates to her character and what she's like as a person. At the top of the image you can see that there is the artists name and under that you have the name of the album that is being sold. The colours that are used in the lettering are meant to be elegant and rich, this relates to how the character is.

Design 3: within this you can see that the artist is taking up the centre of the advert, this catches the attention of the viewer as they are drawn in by the image of the woman. The woman her self is looking glamours and elegant, this is how we would like our artist to be see as. Above the artist you can see the name of the album then underneath that you can see the name of the artist. 

Design 4: As you can see they have put the name of the artist at the top of the page, bellow this you have the image of the artist in a pose, holding her knees to her chest. Bellow this you have the name of the album that she is selling and also you have the record label that is producing and selling her music.

These are our initial ideas of what we would like our advertisements to look like. We have looked at other album covers and look at what they consist of, from this we have used all of the conventions you would find within a advertisement. The next stage from here will be deciding on what ones we like, then trying and bring therm all together to make the best album advertisement that we can.  As you can see we have gone for a female on the front of the advertisement. It is either of a pin up girl or of the artist themselves. The female on the front of the cover is glamorous and is wearing clothing that is reflective of the period of time in which we are trying to recreate. The ones that we are going to be looking at to use are design one and two. These are because they stand out the most, they meet all of the aspects of a poster. Within our final design we want to go for some sort of pin up girl, the name of the artist above them in the middle of the page, then underneath them have the name of the album. We need to use bright coloures that need to stand out to attract the audience we need.
