When looking at the music industry over the last few years it has been struggling. This can be due to many different reasons but the main reason is that people are now using pirating websites to get their music. So rather than buying their music and the money going to the music companies they are using websites where they can get the music for free. This then has a knock on effect on the music industry, gradually making the industry lose money. " The music industry has lost a third of its value in the past seven years due to music piracy, according to the latest annual Digital Music Report." [1]
