Film log 2

During this filming season we got the opening of the music video filmed. What we need to get when filming was as follows: the shoes of the main character walking, the legs of the character walking, the bum of the character walking, the head of the character walking and also the full body image of the character walking towards the camera.

The location that we chose to film in was Kingston. We were meant to film with the village part of the town but we couldn't due to building work that was going on, so we had to relocate to somewhere else. We had another location in mind that was near the river. We then went to this location and was about to start filming. We had to stop as a security guard came up to us and said we wasn't allowed to film here as it was a private estate. We had then to relocate, we had another idea where we could film further down the river. We found our location and started to film.

When filming within this location we found out that it was hard at times to allow us to film, this was because there was members of the public walking through our shots, this meant we had to wait till there was a gap where we could film. Also some of the public would stop and watch what we were doing, this then put pressure on us to make sure what we were doing, was being done properly. During the filming we had to use a skateboard to allow us to get a smooth tracking shot. This was hard to use as we need to go in a straight line but the skateboard kept going the the side therefore the shot wasn't straight. We eventually was able to get the shot and managed to get it going in a straight line after many attempts.



We got all the shots that we needed from this location.We may have to re-visit the location if the shots aren't good enough when looking at them on the MACs. This will not be a problem as we know how to get to the location and there would be no issues with filming there.
